Hey! 👋 I'm Noelani

A Strategic analyst WITH 4 YEARS of experience in Solving complex problems in Healthcare tech.

I’ve worked in science literacy, pharmaceuticals, and most recently, medical device compliance.

I think I’d be a great fit for the open product manager role at Hearst. I work fast, iterate quickly, and communicate effectively. My skills in developing viable solutions backed by generative and evaluative research would translate well; I’ve had experience designing for both clinicians and patients across a variety of features and use-cases in health tech.

Relevant experience

I’d like to highlight a few of the skills I can bring to Hearst.

My background in healthcare technology and my commitment to data-backed decisions would enable me to onboard quickly and drive meaningful projects from the get-go.

  • Problem space: Medical device compliance, SaaS

I was the lead designer for the Training Management workspace, and worked tangentially on other features, such as clinical trial and risk documentation. I owned the project from inception to completion, collaborating closely with developers, PMs, and other stakeholders throughout the process. Some of my responsibilities included:

    • Discovery and generative research analysis

    • Defining problem statements and collaborating with PMs

    • Creating design artifacts from wireframes to prototypes

    • Investigating the problem space of compliance analytics and automations

    • Testing solutions through quantitative, evaluative research

    • Collaborating with developers to execute design QA tests and ensure successful handoffs

I also participated in a system-wide redesign, where I gained experience contributing to our complex, extensive design system and tackling problems at their roots.

  • Problem space: Pharmeceuticals

At SafeStamp, I managed a total of 36 interns (divided into 6 teams) to conduct research, design, and development projects. I learned that I prefer an individual contributor role to a management position, and I also accrued valuable skills:

    • Quantifying impact and communicating to stakeholders

    • Planning and executing research projects

    • Investigating the pharmaceutical industry in order to comprise accurate strategic recommendations

I also explored the challenge of end-user education through the lens of language accessibility.

  • Problem space: Scientific literacy

I worked on user research to support the Mather Science Explorers initiative, which provides science education resources to students in the Chicago Public School system. I gained skills in:

    • Qualitative research methods and data analysis

    • Stakeholder management

Case Studies

  • Comprehensive Redesign

After hearing complaints about an overwhelming number of UX papercuts, we began a collective effort to investigate the root causes of some of the most common usability problems in our system. We were able to address them in a holistic redesign.

  • Task Manager

As a compliance software, it is essential that Greenlight Guru properly captures and communicates the respective duties of its users. We hypothesized that with optimized functionality, the Task Manager could be leveraged to serve this larger goal.

  • Revvail

At Revvail, I worked on end-to-end strategic thinking from a human centered design perspective. I worked with a variety of stakeholders to devise solutions that balanced both customer and business needs.
